Grove, Oklahoma

Meeting Date: First Friday of the month

Start Time & Meeting Duration: 10 am through lunch to afternoon

Meeting Place: Grove Community Center, 104 West Third Street in Grove

How to get there: Grove is in Delaware County in northeast Oklahoma, on Hwy. 25 about eight miles west of the Missouri border. The Community Building is in the center of town at the intersection of Third and Grand.

Meeting Format: A business meeting begins our session, followed by a Show & Tell and a speaker or program. We break for a potluck lunch, then have a workshop in the afternoon. Visit our Web site for latest details.

Mini Group: We have a subgroup called the Christmas Bee, which meets the third Thursday of each month at the same location. We work on a Christmas theme project.

Quilt Exhibition: An annual quilt show is held in summer. The 2007 show is July 4-7.

Workshops: The afternoon of our meeting day.

General Activities: We have a very active group of quilters who frequently participate in organized day trips and overnight trips. We travel in packs for "shop hops" that can involve crossing multiple state lines. We love to have fun while learning.

Retreat: None

Community Projects: Child-size quilts are donated for distribution through the Department of Human Services. Our guild makes financial contributions to various agencies throughout Delaware County.
