The Cayuga Mission Church In 1886, Mathias Splitlog began constructing a church of local hewn limestone for his wife, Eliza Splitlog. Today, the Cayuga Mission Church is the only church in Oklahoma, and perhaps in the U.S., which was built by a Native American with his own funds for the religious use of all people. The inside is embellished with beautifully hand-carved imported wood, and 15 stones, each carved with an Indian symbol, form the arched doorway.

Darryl Starbird's National Rod & Custom Car Hall of Fame Museum Closed The Hall of Fame Museum has been a lifetime dream of mine. When I purchased the lakefront property on Grand Lake northeast of Tulsa Oklahoma. I looked forward to the day when I could display my life's work with that of my contemporaries and those who followed us for the upcoming generations and posterity. I envisioned a permanent Hall of Fame to enshrine the names, pictures and accomplishments of the men who set the benchmark in Hot Rod & Custom

Afton, Oklahoma and Afton Station Afton, Oklahoma was established as a farming community in 1886 and got it's name from the River Afton in Scotland - prominently mentioned in a Robert Burns poem. In the hey-day of Route 66 Afton was a prosperous town, but today the Interstate has taken its toll on this small Oklahoma town. There is much to see and take pictures of in Afton though. Historic architecture, vintage gas stations and fading auto courts can still be found throughout the town.
