| The Cayuga Mission Church In 1886, Mathias Splitlog began constructing a church of local hewn limestone for his wife, Eliza Splitlog. Today, the Cayuga Mission Church is the only church in Oklahoma, and perhaps in the U.S., which was built by a Native American with his own funds for the religious use of all people. The inside is embellished with beautifully hand-carved imported wood, and 15 stones, each carved with an Indian symbol, form the arched doorway. |

| City of Pryor > Pryor at a Glance Pryor, the seat of Mayes County, is a town of approximately 8, 500 interesting and diverse people. Pryor is much larger than what can be initially perceived by individuals passing through this Oklahoma town. But the real reason for people to be drawn to Pryor, the real beauty of Pryor is: Her people think large. |
